The Bridgeport Islanders, the AHL affiliate of the New York Islanders, announced six guaranteed game dates for the 2024-25 campaign, including their home opener.
While the playoffs are in full swing across the hockey landscape, the Bridgeport Islanders are looking ahead to next season. The top farm club of the New York Islanders announced six guaranteed game dates for the 2024-25 campaign, including their home opener.
Headlining Bridgeport's release is their home opener on Saturday, Oct. 12, and a home game during Thanksgiving weekend on Nov. 23. Opponents for all six games have yet to be named.

AHL teams typically release these dates in the middle of the spring, a unique quirk that allows teams to prepare for the following campaign.
Per the league's website, "In the spring, the AHL confirms for each team a list of guaranteed dates for the upcoming season — dates on which the team is assured of playing a home game, albeit without a specific opponent just yet. This allows clubs to begin making preparations and drumming up interest in the coming year."
Bridgeport also shared information regarding ticket packages for the season, including a Home Opener Package that includes two tickets to Oct. 12's game and four other tickets to be used throughout the season. Flexible Ticket Plans are also available from the team.
