After finding themselves down 1-0 less than seven minutes into the game, Boston University flipped the script. They scored four unanswered goals to defeat Boston College in the 2025 Beanpot Championship.
With BU holding on to a slim 2-1 lead late in the second half of the third period, they were in need of separation.
New York Islanders prospect Cole Eiserman rose to the occasion, picking off a pass just inside BC's blue line before executing a perfect backhand finish through the wickets for his 16th goal of the season:
These are the kind of goals the Islanders want to see because this is what we call development. Known for being a goal scorer, Eiserman's struggles come away from the puck. He had to work on that major area in his freshman year to take that next step as a player.
If he can improve that area of the game with his NHL-caliber release, the Islanders are looking at a steal, taking Eiserman 20th overall at the 2024 NHL Draft.
