Can you imagine how excited Islander fans will be if Eiserman scores a huge playoff goal at home and starts chirping the opposing team right after?
New York Islanders prospect Cole Eiserman is representing the United States at the U20 World Junior Championships in Ottawa.
The Islander's 20th overall pick in the 2024 NHL Draft is known as one of the best goal scorers in the draft and is proving that in the tournament.
Eiserman is sitting eighth in the tournament in points and second on his team. (2 goals, 4 assists).
He showcased his goal-scoring ability against Team Canada on New Year's Eve, scoring a power-play goal from the top of the face-off circle that beat the goalie clean:
As he was skating to the bench after the goal, Eiserman let Toronto Maple Leaf's prospect Easton Cowan know he shouldn’t have taken a penalty that led to the goal.
"Atta boy Cowboy, you f--k," were the words that came out of the young gentleman's mouth.
For a game that had such high emotion, Eiserman indeed brought the hype into it.
Something the Islanders are missing in their game is someone who brings this kind of energy. There’s nothing wrong with being humble or not chirping the other team when scoring.
But the hockey world loves the fire this kid brings and will undoubtedly fill the seats at UBS arena when he is officially an Islander.
Can you imagine how excited Islander fans will be if Eiserman scores a huge playoff goal at home and starts chirping the opposing team right after?
Team USA will now play Team Switzerland in the elimination round on Jan. 2 at 2:30 ET on NHL Network/TSN for their first game.
