Duclair will not skate with Barzal or Horvat when he returns to the lineup on Saturday.

EAST MEADOW, NY -- New York Islanders forward Anthony Duclair will be a game-time decision on Saturday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs but is expected to play.

"I'm going to keep it as a game-time decision, just in case, to protect everybody here, but I mean, at the same time, it looks like he's gonna play,' Islanders head coach Patrick Roy said following Friday's practice.

Duclair has missed the last 28 games with a lower-body injury, which he sustained in their 4-3 shootout victory over the Montreal Canadiens on Oct. 19.

The question is, where will Duclair skate in the lineup once he returns?

"It's pretty easy to put [Duclair] anywhere," Roy said. "Right now, we're going to try him with Nelly and Palmsy. I mean, we'll see how it goes. He's very easy to play with and certainly going to help these guys."

Here's how the rest of the lines looked at practice:

Duclair will also line up on the right side of the second power-play unit alongside Ryan Pulock, Brock Nelson, Kyle Palmieri, and Jean-Gabriel Pageau.

Pierre Engvall and Matt Martin will likely serve as healthy scratches, with Roy liking what he saw from Hudson Fasching and his line as of late.

In an upcoming article, we'll have more on Barzal playing center, so stay tuned.

Puck drop between the Maple Leafs and Islanders comes at 7:30 PM ET on MSGSN.
