EAST MEADOW, NY -- New York Islanders forward Brock Nelson will be representing Team USA at the upcoming NHL's 4 Nations Faceoff.
Right now, the Islanders have two prospects, Danny Nelson and Cole Eiserman, who are dominating for Team USA at the IIHF World Junior Championships.
USA plays Czechia on Saturday night at 7:30 ET on NHL Network, where a win will have them back in the finals for a second straight tournament after they won gold last season against Sweden.
"I caught the USA-Canada game and caught a little bit of the game before," Nelson said. "Tonight, I'll throw it on and catch it. Nelson looks like a nice player. I saw the goal Eiserman scored as well. So couple of nice players for us, showcasing [their skills]."
Against Canada, Eiserman showed off his fire and passion when he chirped Team Canada and Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Easton Cowan after scoring a power-play goal.
"He looks like a fiery guy, a competitor," Nelson said on Eiserman. "And I think that you love that in a guy. Thinking back to World Juniors, you realize just how much it means, how big of a stage it is, playing for your country.
"The emotions feel like they're amplified, and the celebrations are pretty awesome. So yeah, it's fun to watch that."
