There's so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.

Girls Youth Hockey

Dear New York Islanders fans,

Every year on Thanksgiving, it's important for everyone to take a step back from the everyday grind and reflect.

We all have dreams and aspirations, and those who do get to do something they love are only able to do so because of the special people in their lives.

For me, it's my incredible girlfriend, Alyssa, and my family who have supported my passion from the very start. I could never thank them enough for their support.

I would be remiss not to share how incredibly thankful I am for you guys.

When I started a Twitter account (the kids now call it X), I had a dream, but never in a million years did I think it would lead to me getting credentialed by my childhood team and doing what I love each and every day.

There aren't words that can describe how special it is to wake up every day and interact positively and negatively with people who care so passionately about a team.

Sure, we may get into it at times but that's par for the course.

But, at the end of the day, the respect you show me and the love you send my way, whether that appreciation is shared in conversations at UBS Arena or online, the relationship with you guys makes doing the job even more worth it.

The Islanders fans have become a second family to me, and I couldn't have asked for anything better.

I have to thank my colleagues, Ethan Sears, Andrew Gross, and Russell Macias. Yes, we compete for stories and things like that, but they make going to work so much fun, and I couldn't ask for better people to work with.

To the Islanders' media staff,  Cory Wright, Rachel Luscher, Tyler Brosious, and Kathryn Howell, thanks for all the laughs. Whether you are laughing at me (Tyler) or with me (everyone else), every day brings something to chuckle about.

Lastly, I'd like to thank David Kolb, who I call my agent, Sean Cuthbert, my Hockey Night in New York co-host, The Hockey News, and NHL.com for believing in my work and allowing me to live out my dream.

I don't take a single day for granted.

Happy Thanksgiving, and enjoy the day!

Love,

Stefen Rosner
