New York beat the Panthers in Round 1 in six games before falling in five games to the Tampa Bay Lightning. That summer, Okposo signed with the Buffalo Sabres, a team that never made the playoffs in his eight seasons in Western New York. When the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline, Okposo asked to be moved, joining the elite Panthers in hopes of being able to hoist the Stanley Cup before his career came to a close. Last playing in Game 5 against the Boston Bruins, Okposo will play on Florida's fourth line for Game 4 against the New York Rangers and is projected to skate alongside Steven Lorenz and Kevin Stenlund with puck drop at 8 PM ET on ESPN and ESPN+.
