Prospect Jesse Nurmi [https://thehockeynews.com/nhl/new-york-islanders/latest-news/jesse-nurmi-new-york-islanders-2023-nhl-draft-prospect-entry-level-contract] (2023, Rd 4), playing on Finland's second line, continued to excel. A standout in his second game, earning a goal and an assist, Nurmi put together a three-point night in Game 3, with two assists before icing the game with an empty-net dagger to secure Finland's 5-3 win. The 19-year-old forward was taken in the CHL's import draft by the London Knights and will play there this season after signing a contract. On Team USA's side, Cole Eiserman [https://thehockeynews.com/nhl/new-york-islanders/latest-news/new-york-islanders-cole-eiserman-macklin-celebrini-boston-university-shattucks-st-mary] (2024, No. 20) got the opportunity to play on the top line, skating on the left of Hauppauge native James Hagens, who is expected to go first overall at the 2025 NHL Draft.
