The New York Rangers announced on Wednesday that they have recalled forward Jake Leschyshyn from the Hartford Wolf Pack today.
The team will practice today at the MSG Training Facility ahead of Friday's contest against the Vegas Golden Knights.
The move is likely for insurance, with the possibility of a player facing a day-to-day injury.
On Jan. 11 the 24-year-old forward played against the St. Louis Blues with Mika Zibanejad and Tyler Pitlick sidelined.
Leschyshyn played 13 games for the Blueshirts last year when the team needed support. He did not record a point.
"A good all-around player. [He is] one of [Hartford's] top all-around players," said Peter Laviolette on Jan. 10 following the center's first recall.
Leschyshyn has recorded seven points (four goals, three assists) in sixteen games with Hartford this season.
