The New York Rangers will be without their captain for two games for an elbowing suspension.

New York Rangers captain Jacob Trouba has been suspended two games for elbowing Golden Knights forward Pavel Dorofeyev on Friday night.

The Rangers captain often toes the line with big open ice hits, but the play was not penalized when it occurred in Friday's contest.

After taking a hard hit from Keegan Kolesar, Ryan Lindgren suffered an upper-body injury last night and did not return to the game after skating 2:35 TOI.

With Lindgrens' status unknown and Trouba suspended, New York recalled Connor Mackey from the Hartford Wolf Pack for insurance against the Ottawa Senators tonight.
