The New York Rangers are looking to string together a winning streak against a suffering Edmonton Oilers squad.

THN NYR vs EDM PRVEW

The New York Rangers (4-2-0) prepare for a battle against the Edmonton Oilers (1-4-1), who are struggling without hockey machine Connor McDavid.

The game will be broadcast on MSG Networks and ESPN+ on Thursday, October 26th at 9:00 PM (ET) from Rogers Place, Edmonton, Alberta.

Connor McPress Box:  "McJesus" will be sidelined in the match, which drastically affects the outlook of this early season tilt. McDavid has recorded 6G,12A, in 12GP against the Rangers. Manhattan takes a collective sigh of relief.

"We Have Draisaitl-", "We Have an Igor": The Oilers believe they can survive the contest with Leon Draisaitl driving their offense. Enter Vezina-caliber Igor Shesterkin. He saved 10 high-danger chances on Tuesday against the Calgary Flames and has stopped 26 mid-range shots according to NHL Edge. "The Czar" is returning to his MVP form, a bad sign for the struggling Oilers. No matter what happens, it will be a treat to watch two of the best players in the NHL go head-to-head.

Fildassist For You, Fildassist For You: Filip Chytil leads the team in assists as he plays off of his current linemates Artemi Panarin and Alexis Lafreniere. They are clicking and dangerous and can continue their success against a weakened opponent.

The Fighters: Evander Kane has dropped the gloves for two straight matches, keep an eye on him as the Oilers will need any juice to stay energized. Warren Foegele is also scrapping...for a new contract. The forward has 3 goals in the young season.

Betting Lines:

Favorite: Oilers (-110)

Underdog: Rangers (-110)

Player Props: Alexis Lafreniere's any-time goal, Filip Chytil assist, Warren Foegele/Leon Draisaitl any-time goal.
