Filip Chytil is ok after appearing to suffer a lower-body injury during the first period of the New York Rangers’ preseason game against the New York Islanders. Chytil was hit at center ice by Scott Mayfield and immediately was laboring in pain while attempting but failing to get up. The 25-year-old forward couldn’t put any weight on his left leg as he was helped off of the ice and into the locker room. To a degree of surprise, Chytil returned to the ice shortly after the hit accrued and he seems to be ok.
