With training camp on the horizon, Jacob Trouba is ready to put the past behind him. It’s been a crazy summer for Jacob Trouba who’s had to endure multiple trade rumors involving his name and an offseason of uncertainty, but the veteran defenseman is happy he remains a member of the Rangers. However, nothing ultimately came of those reports. The 30-year-old defenseman enters his sixth season with the Rangers and it’s a big one. Trouba comes in with a chip on his shoulder to prove he is valuable to the team not just as a leader but from a skill standpoint. This past season, Trouba recorded three goals, 19 assists and 22 points in 69 games while averaging 21:15 minutes. Trouba is a professional and knows that this offseason was just part of the business and he is still laser focused on helping deliver a Stanley Cup to New York.
