New York Rangers and Hartford Wolf Pack defenseman Ben Harpur made headlines for charging Rochester Americans goaltender Felix Sandstrom, which resulted in a four-game suspension. Harpur was assessed a five minute major for charging and a game misconduct for the play. Americans head coach Mike Leone later revealed that Sandstrom suffered an upper-body injury. Essentially, it seemed Harpur made contact with the opposing goalie without really any clear purpose. Stan Fischler talks about Matt Rempe. Through nine games this season, the 29-year-old defenseman has one assist and one point. He hasn’t played with the Rangers since the 2022-23 season when he played 42 games in the NHL. Harpur will be eligible to return for the Wolf Pack’s game against the Springfield Thunderbirds on Nov. 23.
