The New York Rangers have re-signed Ryan Lindgren to a one-year $4.5 million contract, avoiding arbitration. Lindgren and the Rangers have been negotiating a new contract for the entirety of the offseason, but were far off when it came to term and finances of the contract. Now, the two sides can resume negotiations for a long-term deal on Jan. 1 due to the collective bargaining agreement. The Rangers were reportedly offering between $4 million and $4.25 million per year while Lindgren was seeking up to $5 million.
