One photo was taken from Alex Senior's apartment on West 49th Street around the corner from old MSG. 7. Another is an 85-year-old picture postcard of the then new Hotel Lincoln on Eighth Avenue where several of the Champ Blueshirts lived. The Maple Leafs also stayed there when they played New York and an incident involving the hotel and Leafs made it into hockey history books. 8. Prior to a game with the Rangers, Leafs forwards Charlie Conacher and Baldy Cotton checked into their eighth floor room at the Hotel Lincoln. When Cotton couldn't stop hissing and moaning about Charlie nor passing to him in a game the previous night, the irate Conacher hung Cotton by his ankles out the window over Eighth Avenue until Baldy agreed to shut up! 9.
