Stutzle takes Senators fans on a tour of his life in Germany, and all the off-season work that goes into being one of the game's top players.
Last season, as third-year NHL players often do, Ottawa Senators centre Tim Stutzle had a massive spike in his production levels. Stutzle put up 90 points in 2022-23, which included 17 goals and 32 points more than the season before. And his seasonal highlight reel was absolutely stuffed with jaw-dropping moments of skill.
If this is the best of Tim Stutzle, who begins a lucrative eight-year contract this season, Senators fans will gladly take eight more orders of it. But Stutzle just turned 21 in January, and not many players max out their development at 21. It's completely reasonable to look forward to further improvements, and Stutzle is obviously doing his part this off-season to make them happen.
The Senators' content team continues to impress with another high-quality glimpse at how one of their top players spends his off-season. After recently spending a day with Jakob Chychrun, this time they tagged along with Stutzle in Mannheim, Germany.
The tour began with a stop at KINGS360 - Sports Performance, where Stutzle worked out with his buddy, Mo Seider, one of the top young defencemen in the game. Stutzle offered up a full description of his weekly off-ice training regimen.
Then it was off to lunch at Mannheim cafe, followed by physiotherapy treatment, on-ice training, and then unwinding with a round of golf.
Tim Stutzle: A dynamic NHL talent, who's just getting started.
