The matchup: Ottawa Senators (16-13-2) at Calgary Flames (15-11-6)
Faceoff: 9 pm Eastern (RDS, SNW, TSN5)
The opponent: Like the Senators, the Flames hold down the final wild card playoff spot in their conference with a slightly better points percentage (.563) than the Sens (.548). The Flames are 1-1-1 on their current five-game homestand after falling 4-3 to the Boston Bruins on Tuesday. .
The Senators: The Sens beat the Seattle Kraken 3-0 on Tuesday night for their NHL-leading fifth shutout of the year and fourth win in a row. They've posted a smooth 8-2-1 mark in their last eleven games to drag themselves back into a playoff position where they haven't been since 2017.
The Pipes, The Pipes, Are Callin': Dan Vladar will start for Calgary, his first start in a week. He's 6-6-4 with a 3.08 GA and an .885 save percentage. The Sens hope to let the good times roll again with Linus Ullmark, who starts for a fifth straight game. Ullmark is playing out of his mind right now with a six game winning streak and a record of 7-0-1 in his last eight games, allowing a total of just 11 goals.
A with a win, Ullmark can become the fifth goaltender in franchise history with a seven-game winning streak and first since Andrew Hammond and his Hamburglar run in 2015.

Coach Speak: Travis Green was asked by the media about Ullmark and his impressive turnaround in December.
"Yeah, I just think that he's gotten more comfortable in his surroundings. Anytime you go to a new team, new city, your family's moving, signs a new contract, there's different expectations. I think he's just feeling more comfortable in his game, more comfortable in his surroundings with his teammates. And he's playing great."
It looks like Green will make no changes to his lineup tonight. And at this point, why would he? Like the famous Crash Davis pep talk in Bull Durham, never, uh, mess with a winning streak.
