While most of the Senators are in vacation mode, four of their teammates are focused on the start of the 4 Nations Face-Off. But not some may not see much action in the early going.

With the NHL 4 Nations Face-Off set to begin on Wednesday night, we've begun to get some looks at the four Ottawa Senators who'll be participating, and in some cases, how their countries may deploy them this week.

Team USA has the highest Senator content with both Brady Tkachuk and Jake Sanderson suiting up. Obviously, Tkachuk is pumped to be teammates with his brother, Matthew. They've played together for the Atlantic team in the NHL All-Star game in the past, but as you'd imagine, playing for their country means quite a bit more.

Brady said a couple of weeks ago he had hoped to play on the same line as his brother, but the team's practice on Monday was like a Hyundai ad, and the boys were separated.

According to @RussoHockey, Brady skated at left wing on a line with J.T. Miller and Matt Boldy, while Matthew rolled with Jack Eichel and Kyle Connor.

As for Sanderson, who arrived on the scene as an injury replacement for Vancouver Canucks captain Quinn Hughes, he skated as the seventh D and may be tracking to sit out game one.

As an aside, how absurdly good is your blue line if you're even thinking about making Jake Sanderson a healthy scratch?

Even after Ottawa's final game before the break on Saturday night, an ugly loss in Florida, Sanderson still wasn't sure if he was going to get the call.

"I was still continuing as if I was going on a trip," Sanderson told the media. "Then I heard I would find out on (Sunday) so I waited all day in Miami at a hotel. And then I got the call and drove to the airport."

All we know at the moment about Sens goalie Linus Ullmark is that, along with Filip Gustavsson and Samuel Ersson, he's one of three goalies on the roster for Sweden, which opens against Canada on Wednesday.

Of the three, Ullmark is – by far – the rustiest. His games on February 4th and 8th are the only games he's played in the last month and a half.

    Games since Christmas:

    Gustavsson: 14
    Ersson: 14
    Ullmark: 2

Ullmark took part in picture day and the pose looked like something from an old O-Pee-Chee hockey card from the 70s.

The final member of the participating Senators is another last minute sub, Nikolas Matinpalo, who got the call to fill for injured Finnish defenceman Rasmus Ristolainen. Like Sanderson, he will start out as the seventh D and probably sit out Finland's opener versus Team USA.

Buckle up. It's going to be a bumpy ride.
