That one had to feel good.
Ottawa Senators forward Michael Amadio finally got his first goal of the season on Saturday night, a big one that tied the game near the end of the second period in Boston.
When Amadio signed a three-year, $7.8 million contract in the off-season, the hope was that he'd provide winning experience from his time with Cup-winning Vegas and some secondary scoring. Entering the game, it hadn't clicked yet. He had just two assists in 13 games.
When Amadio ripped a shot past Jeremy Swayman to tie the game at 2, you could tell by his reaction it meant a lot.
The monkey might now be officially off Amadio's back, but he still has some work to do to get the full respect and attention of Sportsnet's graphics team.
