Ottawa Senators Shake Up Lines For Saturday's Game Against Vancouver

As he prepares to face his old team on Saturday night, Senators' head coach Travis Gren put his forward lines into a blender at the game day skate.

It appears the Ottawa Senators will have a different look on Saturday night. They've made a couple of big switches, breaking up Tim Stutzle and Brady Tkachuk. And Josh Norris will get a look as the club's third-line centre.

Shane Pinto has been moved up to centre Tkachuk and Ridly Greig, Stutzle will skate with Claude Giroux and Drake Batherson, and Norris will work with David Perron and Michael Amadio.

Here's how they lined up at practice this morning:

    Giroux-Stützle-Batherson
    Tkachuk-Pinto-Greig
    Perron-Norris-Amadio
    Cousins-Gaudette-MacEwen

    Sanderson-Zub
    Chabot-Jensen
    Kleven-Hamonic

Amid a four-game losing slide, and scoring just four goals in their last three, changes up front aren't a huge surprise.

Pinto and Perron are the two players who really need to get something going, and head coach Travis Green is likely hoping to the shuffle will provide a spark for them. Pinto is pointless in his last six games and Perron is looking for his first point in his eight games as an Ottawa Senator.

In a move that won't go over well with the #FreeJBD crowd, Jacob Bernard-Docker comes out of the lineup again for Travis Hamonic. JBD played his first game in 16 days on Thursday night, a 3-2 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights.

Linus Ullmark was the first goalie off the ice this morning, and Green confirmed after practice that he will start. Ullmark had one leaky goal in the Vegas game but also made a number of dazzling saves that the Sens hope he can build off en route to resurrecting his Vezina form of the past.
