It's good to be Tim Stutzle.
Back home for the summer in Germany, Stutzle is working hard to prepare for what he hopes is a bounce-back NHL season. Not that it was a bad season, but after cracking 90 points and almost scoring 40 goals two seasons ago, Stutzle took a step back in year one of an eight-year, $66.8 million contract.
Stutzle had 20 fewer points last season, and his goal totals went from 39 to 18. Part of that was probably due to injuries that nagged him for much of the season. So, he's working hard in the gym to be sure he's 100% for camp in a couple of months.
And as long he's shuttling around Germany from home to the rink to the gym, he might as well do it in style.
According to Stutzle's Instagram account, the 22-year-old treated himself last week to a brand-new Porsche 911 Turbo, which starts at $199,000 (US). Fully-loaded, it can cost up to $245,000 and reach speeds in excess of 200 miles per hour.

It's not known whether it was a purchase or part of a player endorsement deal with Porsche Dortmund. The dealership posted this in a statement:
"A particularly sporty delivery!
"We warmly congratulate Tim Stützle on the delivery and are very happy to hand over our sports car icon to an equally sporty, consistently ambitious young man.
"Stützle is a German ice hockey player, living here in beautiful North Rhine-Westphalia and seasonally in Canada, who made his debut on the senior national team at the 2022 World Championship in Finland. He then signed an eight-year contract with the Ottawa Senators of the NHL. In the following season, he exceeded the point-per-game mark for the first time with 90 points from 78 games. Tim is considered one of the most promising talents of his year and was selected by the Senators in third place overall in the NHL Entry Draft.
"We wish Tim a safe and good journey and much success for the 24/25 season!"
It figures one of the fastest Ottawa Senators would roll with one of the fastest cars available. Next stop? The Autobahn...probably.
