
Last season, the Flyers had a very messy split with John Tortorella despite narrowly missing the playoffs the year prior, a coach with proven success at the NHL level. In the off-season, Rick Tocchet was hired on to be the Flyers' new coach, but his resume doesn't say a lot, with his best finish being a second-round exit with Vancouver in 2024 and only one other playoff appearance to go along with it. With all that said, what proves that Tocchet is not only a good coach but the one to lead the Flyers' locker room? Is he going to bring about the much-needed change in the Flyers that Philadelphia media seems to think he can?
