The Flyers robbed the Maple Leafs in a trade once already this year, and they may want to consider trying it again at some point.
In the above article, Maple Leafs centers David Kampf and Calle Jarnkrok are both listed as players Toronto should move on from in the offseason.
Kampf is 30 and has two years remaining on his deal at a $2.4 million cap hit, while Jarnkrok is 32, is on an expiring deal, positionally versatile, and making a more modest $2.1 million.
If the Flyers want to add some passable centers to potentially flip at the NHL trade deadline, those are two names worth keeping in the back pocket.
After all, they managed to flip Andrei Kuzmenko for a third-round pick this year and got a first-round pick and Nikita Grebenkin for Scott Laughton from this very Maple Leafs team.
Plus, Ryan Poehling is heading into a contract year as well.
Could be something worth considering so long as the Flyers don't add a top-six center this offseason.
