2025 World Junior Summer Showcase: Top standouts from Canada intrasquad scrimmage
It might not have had much bearing on anything, but it was still a good opportunity to see what some of Canada's top players were capable of.
DailyFaceoff prospect expert Steven Ellis named top Flyers prospect Porter Martone one of his standouts from the Canada Red vs. Canada White intra-squad scrimmage at the World Junior Summer Showcase Tuesday evening.
Martone, 18, didn't score, but impressed with his playmaking and defending in the eyes of Ellis, much like his development camp outing with the Flyers.
Fellow Flyers prospect Spencer Gill didn't make the list of standouts, but did score a nice goal for Canada Red after receiving a D-to-D pass, walking the line, and flinging a seeing-eye shot into the top right corner through some heavy traffic.
