The Flyers are scratching one of their top players against the Ducks.

As Denver Barkey heads back to the London Knights after spending the last couple of months watching the Philadelphia Flyers' training camp from the sidelines, he reflects on his recovery from illness and coming back a stronger player than before.

The Philadelphia Flyers are making a notable change to their lineup for their game against the Anaheim Ducks. This is because Joel Farabee will be a healthy scratch. In addition, prospect Olle Lycksell will be in the lineup.

Farabee being scratched is undoubtedly big news, as the 24-year-old forward is expected to be one of the Flyers' top players. However, the 2018 first-round pick is having a tough season thus far, posting six goals, eight points, and a minus-14 rating in 42 games. He also has not recorded a point in five straight games.

Farabee played in 216 consecutive games for the Flyers, but this scratch will put an end to his ironman streak.

As for Lycksell, he has played in one game for the Flyers this season, where he had three shots in 10:58 of ice time. Down in the AHL this season with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, he has nine goals and 24 points in 25 games.
