Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Jamie Drysdale has been placed on Injured Reserve for what is being reported as an upper-body injury.

This news comes shortly after head coach John Tortorella said that Drysdale would not be in the lineup against the San Jose Sharks on Nov. 11 due to being "dinged up."

The Flyers have not stated any other specifics of Drysdale's injury, and have not given a timeline as to how long he will be out for.

The 22-year-old defenseman has had an extremely unfortunate history with injuries, most significantly his left shoulder, which has sidelined him twice in his career. He also had to undergo core surgery this past summer.
