No player on the Flyers' roster is totally safe from being traded this offseason, according to general manager Danny Briere.

It's going to be a busy summer for the Philadelphia Flyers. Danny Briere has officially been appointed the franchise's new general manager, and since initially taking over as interim GM following the dismissal of Chuck Fletcher in March, he's been adamant that a rebuild is on the horizon.
The rebuild likely will not involve shipping off every valuable player on the roster and starting from scratch, as he has stated numerous times over the last several months. But Briere has a job to do, and part of his job as general manager is to listen to offers.
All offers.
In an interview on 94.1 WIP Saturday, Briere emphasized that no player on the Flyers' roster is safe from being moved this offseason if the right offer comes along.
Not even a player like Carter Hart.
"The position that we're in right now, we have to listen," said Briere. "There's a lot of good young players on our team, but at the same time, if it's better for the organization to move in a different direction, we have to listen. There's no one that's above the team, and I'm gonna listen on everyone.
"Now, I expect most of our young guys, including Carter Hart, to be back, but I have to be fair for the organization and the fans to listen if there's a better offer elsewhere."
Hart has established himself as the Flyers' unquestioned No. 1 goalie. While his statistics on paper may not be flattering (2.94 goals against average, .907 save percentage), he was far and away one of the club's best players this season. He was given three of the Flyers' team awards at the end of the season, including the Gene Hart Memorial Award, the Toyota Cup, and the Bobby Clarke Trophy, given to the team's MVP. Without the heroics of Hart, the Flyers very likely could have ended the 2022-23 campaign as the worst team in the league.
Still just 24 years old, Hart is a cornerstone piece who could backstop the Flyers for years to come. And that's what Briere is expecting. But if he's blown away by the right offer, he won't hesitate to make the difficult decision of moving the young stud netminder.
"I would say most likely Carter is gonna be our goalie of the future. Now, I'm not in a position to turn down anything. If there's teams calling about him, we have to listen. That's my job as a general manager. I have to listen. I have to do what's best for the team and the organization."
Hart isn't the only Flyer on trade watch this summer. Defenseman Ivan Provorov could also be a candidate to be moved. And if so, it might just be best for both himself and the organization.
Provorov's productivity has declined considerably since his stellar 2019-20 campaign. At just 26 years old, he still has the potential to bounce back surrounded by the right supporting cast. Unfortunately, the Flyers in their current state do not appear to have that supporting cast in place.
Given his ability to take on huge minutes as a top-pair defenseman, Provorov could realistically garner some serious interest from other teams in trade discussions. But Briere also believes Provorov has the potential to rebound as a member of the Flyers.
"There's no doubt that Ivan, the last couple years, it's been a little tougher. I still believe in him. I think he's still a very important part of a team. A young defenseman like that that can play on the top pairing," said Briere.
"There's been probably a little bit of luck not going his way, but to me, yes, there's definitely another step in his game that we're gonna try to unlock."
