The Flyers released seven players from the training camp roster Friday evening.

And then there were 44.

After sending goalie prospect Carson Bjarnason back to his junior club Thursday, the Flyers have announced another round of cuts.

Seven players were released from the training camp roster Friday evening. The Flyers loaned forwards Alexis Gendron and Zayde Wisdom and defensemen Mason Millman, Ethan Samson and Will Zmolek to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. They also released defenseman Adam Karashik and goaltender Nolan Maier from their professional tryouts. Karashik and Maier will head to Lehigh Valley as well.

Wisdom is the most notable subtraction of the bunch, even though he wasn't expected to make the Flyers out of training camp. The 21-year-old performed well in the Flyers' two rookie games against the New York Rangers, scoring the squad's only goal in Game 2 of the exhibition tilts. He suited up for the Flyers' preseason contest against the New York Islanders Wednesday night, but saw a team-low 9:50 of ice time.

The Flyers will play their third game of the preseason Friday night against the Boston Bruins at TD Garden. Puck is set to drop at 7 p.m. ET.
