Just ahead of the start to a new season, the Pittsburgh Penguins announced that they will have a new away jersey patch sponsor.
For the next four seasons on the road, First National Bank (FNB) will have their logo featured on the Penguins away sweaters.
The patch will be worn starting in the 2023-24 season and conclude in 2026-27; the patch will be worn in regular season and playoff games.
-“The Penguins are a world-class organization, with a commitment to excellence and integrity that we share at FNB,” Vincent J. Delie, Jr., Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of F.N.B. Corporation and First National Bank said. “As the official away game jersey sponsor and official Retail Bank and Digital Banking Partner of the Pittsburgh Penguins, we look forward to showing our support for the Penguins and all they represent when they take the ice in markets across North America.”
The FNB patch will make it’s official debut when the Penguins take on the Washington Capitals for their second game of the 2023-24 season.
-"As our partnership with FNB continues to grow from our team banking partners to building their new headquarters on our Lower Hill redevelopment, it was only fitting that they come with us on the road as well,” Penguins President of Business Operations Kevin Acklin said. “We are proud to showcase the FNB logo on our official team jerseys as a testament to how much we value our relationship with Vince and the entire FNB team, both on and off the ice, across the Pittsburgh region and beyond.”
According to a release from the Penguins, the logo will also bea featured in the EA Spors NHL 24 video game.
This is the first time the Penguins will have a sponsored patch for their away uniforms.
