Are The Shootout Demons Done With?

The Pittsburgh Penguins did it. They won a shootout on Saturday and had three separate players score shootout goals.

Shootouts have been a constant issue for the team these last several seasons, but not on Saturday night. Ben Kindel, Sidney Crosby, and Rickard Rakell scored in the shootout, giving the Penguins a 2-1 win over the Dallas Stars.

Murashov discusses his otherwordly performance after 3-2 shootout loss to Jackets

Not every Penguin showed up for Friday's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets, but there's one guy who certainly did.

22-year-old rookie goaltender Sergei Murashov stopped 43 of 45 Jackets' shots Friday, delivering a gargantuan effort to earn his team an undeserved point.

Kindel, Kuzmenko in; Koivunen, Soderblom out of starting lineup v. Montreal Canadiens

It appears that the Pittsburgh Penguins are getting two of their lineup regulars back just in time for their home opener against the Montreal Canadiens Saturday.

Center Ben Kindel was activated from injured reserve and will start the game as the team's third-line center, while left winger Andrei Kuzmenko has returned to the Penguins after an absence due to the sudden death of his father, Alexander, in Russia.

Canada goes goldless again in international play

It sure hasn't been an easy calendar year for the Canadian Men's hockey team, who were defeated in the IIHF World Championship semifinal by Finland, 4-2, on Saturday.

This loss follows a silver medal finish at the 2026 Olympic Winter Games, a bronze medal at the World Junior Championship, and a non-medal at last year's World Championship after an upset by Denmark in the quarterfinal round.

Was this callback for goalie interference on a Harrison Brunicke goal the right one? You decide.

Well, it seems the goalie interference problems the Pittsburgh Penguins faced during the 2025-26 season have trickled down to their farm.

During the first period in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton's (WBS) Game 4 matchup against the Springfield Thunderbirds on Thursday, top defensive prospect Harrison Bruncike found the back of the net after a series of on-point passes from his teammates
