After a surprisingly successful 2025-26 season that resulted in their first playoff berth in four years, the Pittsburgh Penguins will look for a repeat playoff berth in 2026-27.

While they may have improved marginally, so did other teams in the Metropolitan Division, and their stars are also a year older. 

With other teams around them making improvements and others falling off a bit, how do the Penguins compare to the rest of the Metro heading into 2026-27?
