The Pittsburgh Penguins are not only headed to the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the first time since 2022, they also got some help from their frenemies on the East Side.

With a Philadelphia Flyers' regulation loss to the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday - in addition to the Penguins' regulation win against the New Jersey Devils to clinch - Pittsburgh also clinched home ice advantage in round one, which could very well be against the Flyers.

The City of Brotherly Love really came through on Thursday, as the Penguins can officially rest a few players and gear up for round one without having to worry about anyone else.
