After a slow start with Rytíři Kladno in the Czechia league, former Pittsburgh Penguins legend Jaromir Jagr scored twice in the past three games.

In February 2024, the Pittsburgh Penguins welcomed the ageless wonder Jaromir Jagr back home to retire his iconic No. 68 jersey.

Surprisingly, Czechia's greatest hockey export had time for the pre-game skate and ceremony in between training to play for his 34th professional hockey season.

When mere mortals are over a decade into retirement, Jagr still plays with Rytíři Kladno at 52.

Although he's not an offensive threat like he was in his 20s and 30s when he scored over 100 points a season in the NHL, Jagr has already surpassed last season's total with five points in 16 games.

The most interesting part of his stat line is that Jagr has scored goals in two of the last three contests.

The owner of Rytíři Kladno lit the lamp in the team's second game of the year on Sept. 20 and went on an 11-game goalless streak before scoring again on Dec. 8 in a 6-2 win.

After going pointless on Dec. 20, Jagr again scored with a lamplighter on Sunday in a 4-2 loss.

Despite Jagr's recent goal-scoring resurgence, he ranks 14th in team scoring, while Rytíři Kladno remains at the bottom of the Czechia league standings with 28 points in 28 games.
