Jaromir Jagr Bobblehead Shipment Stolen Before Penguins Game

The Pittsburgh Penguins have announced their promotional item was stolen in California.

Top Pittsburgh Penguins prospect Brayden Yager may see a position change before he reaches the NHL level in the future.

PITTSBURGH – Things just haven’t gone right for the Pittsburgh Penguins this season, and the trend of bad luck continues. The Penguins announced that a shipment carrying promotional Jaromir Jagr bobbleheads was stolen in California.

The bobbleheads were en route to Pittsburgh to be handed away at the game between the Penguins and San Jose Sharks. The Penguins learned of the cargo theft after the shipment failed to arrive on schedule.

The Penguins have alerted the appropriate authorities and are working to locate the shipment. They cannot make any further comments regarding the open investigation.

Fans attending the contest between the Penguins and Sharks will instead be given a voucher to receive the bobbleheads at a later date.

“We were shocked to be a victim of cargo theft, and we are working closely with local and federal authorities on the investigation,” said Penguins President of Business Operations Kevin Acklin. “While this unfortunate incident adds to the legend of Jaromir Jagr, who will be in attendance as our guest at tonight’s game, we look forward to resolving this theft and delivering the prized Jagr bobbleheads to their rightful homes, with our fans."

The location and dates for picking up the Jagr bobblehead will be announced when the organization has found and recovered the shipment. It is also possible they will have to reproduce the bobbleheads.
