    The Pittsburgh Penguins will have their full compliment of defenders in New York.

    After not completing the contest against the Montreal Canadiens, the Pittsburgh Penguins state that both Jan Rutta and Jeff Petry will be available against the New York Rangers.

    In the Penguins collapse against the Canadiens, but the defenders left the game due to injury.

    For Petry, it wasn’t clear what happened; he was not present on the bench for the entire third period.

    Rutta’s injury was more obvious as a puck struck him in the knee and he left the game in obvious pain.

    Following a morning skate at Madison Square Garden, head coach Mike Sullivan confirmed that the two will be available for the game against the Rangers.

    The two were full participants in the full-team skate and they were paired with their nnormal linemates.

    Jan Rutta alongside P.O. Joseph and Petry with Brian Dumoulin.

    Ryan Poehling also indicated he would be ready to return to the lineup against the Rangers.

    Poehling skated on the fourth line with Jeff Carter and Josh Archibald in place of Danton Heinen.

    The Penguins take on the Rangers for the second of three times in a week; the Penguins walked away with an overtime victory in their last meeting.
