The Pittsburgh Penguins are getting their veteran defender back after missing just one game.

Jeff Carter continues to struggle through the 2022-23 season for the Pittsburgh Penguins.

After missing a single game with an illness, Kris Letang is returning to the Pittsburgh Penguins lineup.

The Penguins were forced to play without their veteran defender in the first half of a back-to-back against the Anaheim Ducks.

Without Letang, P.O. Joseph stepped up on the blue line with a pair of goals and an assist for this second career three-point game.

The Penguins dominated the Ducks with a 6-3 victory and now turn their heads to the Los Angeles Kings.

With Letang’s return to the lineup, Chad Ruhwedel is the odd man out and has been hit with a healthy scratch.

Mark Friedman stays in the lineup after a solid performance against the Ducks.

Letang enters the lineup and is once again paired with his usual partner in Brian Dumoulin.

Despite it being the second game in as many nights, Casey DeSmith remains as the Penguins starting netminder, with no new information on Tristan Jarry.

The Penguins are looking for their third straight win coming out of their bye week and the NHL All-Star break.
