The Pittsburgh Penguins have acquired Nick Robertson from the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Pittsburgh Penguins swung a trade for one of the Robertson brothers on Wednesday.

According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, the Penguins have acquired Nick Robertson from the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for a 2028 fourth-round pick.

Robertson is a player that Penguins general manager and president Kyle Dubas knows fairly well. He drafted him in the second round of the 2019 NHL Draft when he was the Leafs' general manager.

Robertson set career highs in goals (16) and points (32) last season. He also played in 78 games, the most he has ever played.

This does create another roster logjam in the bottom six, even if Anthony Mantha and Noel Acciari leave via free agency.

We'll see if Dubas moves a forward or two out in separate deals later this offseason.
