The Pittsburgh Penguins have announced their 2026 Hall of Fame class.
The Pittsburgh Penguins unveiled their 2026 Hall of Fame class on Thursday, and it's a great one.
Marc-Andre Fleury, Jim Rutherford, Larry Murphy, and Jack McGregor were named to the Penguins' Hall of Fame.
They will be honored with an on-ice ceremony before the Penguins play the Ottawa Senators on Nov. 14.
Fleury spent 13 seasons with the Penguins after being selected first overall in the 2003 NHL Draft and helped them win three Stanley Cups. He has the most wins of any goaltender in Penguins history and the second-most wins of any goaltender in NHL history.
He finished his Penguins' tenure with a .912 save percentage and a 2.58 goals-against average.
Rutherford was named the Penguins' general manager in June 2014 and lasted until January 2021. During his tenure, he helped the Penguins win back-to-back Stanley Cups in 2016 and 2017 and made some big trades, acquiring Phil Kessel, Trevor Daley, Nick Bonino, Justin Schultz, Carl Hagelin, and Patric Hornqvist.
Murphy spent five seasons with the Penguins and was instrumental in their back-to-back Stanley Cup wins in 1991 and 1992. He was a force on the blue line, finishing the 1991 playoffs with five goals and 23 points in 23 games, then the 1992 playoffs with six goals and 16 points in 21 games.
He's widely regarded as one of the best defenseman in franchise history.
McGregor enters the Hall of Fame in the contributor category posthumously. He served as the Penguins' president from 1967-70 and helped bring the Penguins to Pittsburgh. He passed away on Jan. 6, 2026.
