The center recorded a goal and an assist in 8-8 charity match

It's not too often that hockey fans get to see Penguins center Evgeni Malkin and Capitals winger Alexander Ovechkin - two of the greatest Russian-born players of all-time - take the ice together.
Fans were treated to that opportunity on Saturday, when the NHL's biggest Russian stars squared off against the KHL's best in a charity All-Star game in Moscow. The game ended in a 8-8 tie.
Malkin centered a first line with Ovechkin on his left and Rangers star Artemi Panarin on his right. He finished the game with a goal and an assist, and his goal came on a penalty shot:
Malkin also recorded an all-too-familiar assist on a Panarin goal, where he picked a pocket, passed the puck to himself along the boards, and dished it to Panarin:
Ovechkin took home MVP honors for the game, which also featured the likes of other Russian NHL stars such as the Hurricanes' Andrei Svechnikov, the Blues' Pavel Buchnevich, and the Blue Jackets' Dmitry Voronkov.
