Pittsburgh Penguins General Manager Kyle Dubas, the Director of Player Personnel for victorious Team Canada at the 4 Nations Face-off, is set to represent his country again, this time as General Manager of Team Canada at the 2025 World Championship.

This upcoming role will be Dubas' third stint with Team Canada. He previously served as Assistant General Manager at last year's World Championship, where Canada finished in fourth place.

Historically, Canada has won the most world titles, claiming their 28th victory in 2023. This year's tournament will be split between Stockholm, Sweden, and Herning, Denmark, with Canada's first game scheduled for May 10 against Slovenia.

Penguins Recall Three Forwards, Rule Five Forwards Out For Remainder Of Season Penguins Recall Three Forwards, Rule Five Forwards Out For Remainder Of Season With just three games remaining on the <a href="https://thehockeynews.com/nhl/pittsburgh-penguins">Pittsburgh Penguins</a>' regular season schedule, it appears the injury situation on the NHL roster is beginning to deplete the AHL team.

Dubas has been the Penguins' General Manager for the past two seasons, and the club has missed the playoffs in both seasons.

These past two years mark the first time in his professional career that Dubas has missed the playoffs. As General Manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs from 2018 to 2023, the team qualified for the playoffs yearly but didn't advance past the first round.

Despite the Penguins tumbling down the standings in 2024-25, Dubas has been planning for the future, acquiring 19 draft picks, including three first-round ones, for the 2025 and 2026 NHL Drafts.
