Pittsburgh Penguins goalie prospect Gabriel D'Aigle has officially been traded to the Florida Everblades.

He was still a part of the Wheeling Nailers after their ECHL affiliation with the Penguins ended earlier this month, but is now with the Everblades, the Penguins' new ECHL affiliate. 

The Everblades announced the move via their social media on Tuesday evening. They sent defenseman Hunter Sansbury back to the Nailers in the trade.

D'Aigle was selected by the Penguins in the third round of the 2025 NHL Draft and spent the 2025-26 season with the QMJHL's Victoriaville Tigres. Despite the Tigres being terrible last year, D'Aigle still finished the regular season with a .908 save percentage. 

D'Aigle was with the Tigres for four seasons and was constantly left out to dry. He was doing everything he could in each game that he played.

He'll now get to be on an Everblades team that just won another Kelly Cup and will team up with fellow goaltender Cam Johnson. Johnson was signed to an AHL contract by the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Jul. 24.
