The Pittsburgh Penguins have hired former Toronto Maple Leafs assistant general manager Brandon Pridham.
The Pittsburgh Penguins added a new person to their front office on Tuesday.
According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, the Penguins have hired former Toronto Maple Leafs assistant general manager Brandon Pridham as a hockey operations consultant.
Pridham will replace Vukie Mpofu, who left the Penguins to join the Nashville Predators as an assistant general manager. Pridham will help with contracts, cap management, planning, and mentor junior members in the front office.
This move shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone since Pridham and Penguins general manager/president Kyle Dubas worked for several years in Toronto.
Pridham was an assistant general manager of the Maple Leafs for the last eight seasons after spending four seasons as a special assistant to the general manager.
Prior to working with the Maple Leafs, Pridham worked for the NHL's central registrar department.
