On Saturday night, the Pittsburgh Penguins celebrated Mike Sullivan's 700th game behind the bench. Their 5-2 win against the Toronto Maple Leafs handed him his 387th win with the organization.

Not only was it a milestone night for game No. 700, but with 387 wins with the Penguins, Sullivan tied legendary head coach and Hall of Famer Art Ross for 15th all-time on the wins list with a single franchise.

Ross coached the Boston Bruins from 1924 to 1945, compiling a 387-290-95 record behind the bench. Sullivan, who also coached the Bruins from 2003 to 2006, took over the Penguins after 28 games and led them to the Stanley Cup in 2016.

The two-time champion has been coaching in Pittsburgh since then and now has a record of 387-232-81.

In 12 seasons as an NHL head coach, Sullivan has compiled a record of 457-288-15-104 in 864 games. His experience landed him the Team USA head coaching job at the upcoming 4 Nations Face-off

Sullivan's contract extension kicked in the summer of 2024, and he has three seasons left on his new deal. He ranks 35th on the NHL's all-time wins list.
