The Pittsburgh Penguins and Seattle Kraken will face off at an earlier time thanks to NFL playoffs.
PITTSBURGH – Thanks to the rescheduling of the NFL playoff game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Buffalo Bills, the Pittsburgh Penguins have announced a change to their game against the Seattle Kraken. It was revealed that the Penguins will now face the Kraken at 1:00 p.m. on Monday rather than the initial 6:00 p.m. puck drop.
The Penguins confirmed the game change was made in response to the Steelers game being moved.
The Buffalo Sabres also announced their game scheduled for Monday evening has also been moved up. Their contest against the San Jose Sharks will now take place at noon.
A heavy winter storm has forced the movement of multiple professional sporting events and the NHL is making sure they can catch as many viewers as possible. With the NFL playoffs taking place at the same time, hockey is likely set to lose a lot of their audience during those times.
