With Sidney Crosby's elimination from the All-Star Game, the Pittsburgh Penguins can turn their focus on the closing stretch of the regular season.

The Pittsburgh Penguins head into the All-Star Break in the final wild card spot of the Eastern Conference. How has Sidney Crosby Performed to this point in the season?

Sidney Crosby was the sole representative for the Pittsburgh Penguins at the 2023 NHL All-Star Game, but he made sure to leave some highlights.

The Penguins captain teamed up with rival Alex Ovechkin not just during the Skills Competition but on the same line during the main event.

The two shared a line and provided multiple instances of fantasy-style hockey with awesome passing and goal scoring.

Crosby finished the 10-6 loss in the semi-final round with two goals and an assist.

Both of Crosby’s goals were assisted by Ovechkin and the assist came secondary to Ovechkin’s lone tally.

The two combined for six points, and looked like they could help carry the Metropolitan to a victory over the Pacific Division at one point leading 6-4.

The Pacific exploded for six unanswered goals to bring home their semi-final round victory.

Columbus Blue Jackets forward Johnny Gaudreau picked up a hat trick for the Metro but couldn’t keep up with the Tkachuk brothers who combined for nine points in the 3-on-3 contest.

Crosby’s first tally came off of a takeaway and he and Ovechkin played a little catch before Crosby finished the job.

The second goal was a lot of the same; a Crosby takeaway leading to some back-and-forth between two of the game’s all-time greats.

With the Metropolitan’s elimination from the 3-on-3 tournament, Crosby’s All-Star weekend has come to an end, and he will head back to Pittsburgh and prepare for the final leg of the 2022-23 regular season.
