Two Pittsburgh Penguins are invited to the Team USA World Junior Summer Showcase this summer.

Team USA's invitees for the World Junior Summer Showcase were revealed on Tuesday and included two Pittsburgh Penguins prospects.

Forward Will Horcoff and defenseman Charlie Trethewey are on the list for the showcase, which is set to take place from July 26 to August 1.

Horcoff had a great freshman season with Michigan, compiling 25 goals and 39 points in 40 games. He was also on the USA World Junior Team this past year and compiled one goal and two points in five games.

He's at the Penguins' development camp this week, but isn't skating after having right shoulder surgery nine weeks ago. He had the surgery to repair a shoulder injury that he suffered back in December.

Trethewey spent the 2025-26 season with Boston University and finished with one goal and 10 points in 34 games. Like Horcoff, this was also his first NCAA season.
