The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins agreed to terms with goaltender Cam Johnson on Friday.
WBS announced the news via social media, saying that the team has signed Johnson for the 2026-27 season.

He was also the MVP of the Kelly Cup Playoffs in 2022 and 2023. He finished the 2025-26 regular season with a 1.84 goals-against average and a .923 save percentage.
Johnson gives WBS more depth at the goaltender position for the 2026-27 season, despite still having Joel Blomqvist and Taylor Gauthier.
Blomqvist and Gauthier are expected to be the 1-2 tandem in WBS if Sergei Murashov makes the NHL team.
