The Pittsburgh Penguins might work their way back into the postseason in 2024, but will have a tough road to another Stanley Cup.
The NHL offseason is in full force with the 2023 Draft just over a week away, so why not take a look at the far too early betting odds for the Pittsburgh Penguins?
It may have been the first time since 2006 that the Penguins missed the postseason, but they are primed to retool themselves and come back better than ever.
Do the way-too-early betting odds reflect that kind of change, however? No, not really.
According to BetMGM, the Penguins are a +3500 to win the Stanley Cup in 2024; that ranks 15th in the NHL and fourth in the Metropolitan Division.
At +3500, the Penguins fall behind the Carolina Hurricanes (+1200), New Jersey Devils (+1200), and New York Rangers (+1400).
Landing at 15 would be enough to squeeze the Penguins back into the postseason after a year hiatus.
When it comes to coming out as the top team in the Eastern Conference, the Penguins land eighth in the East with +1800.
The Penguins may be a longshot to win the Cup, but at least they have a good chance at making their way back where they belong in the postseason.
