Pittsburgh's captain becomes just the 21st player in NHL history to reach the milestone

Pittsburgh Penguins' captain Sidney Crosby has made the NHL history books yet again.

On Saturday against the Utah Hockey Club, Crosby scored his 600th goal on a second-period five-on-three power play, becoming just the second active player and the 21st player in NHL history to reach the milestone. 

Crosby now sits just one goal behind Jari Kurri, which would break him into the top-20 all-time in goals. He's also within reach of Dino Ciccarelli at 608 and Bobby Hull at 610, which would put him in the top-18 all-time. He needs 26 more goals this season to pass Jarome Iginla and Joe Sakic to enter the top-16.

The only other active player to score 600 goals is Alexander Ovechkin, who, at 868, is chasing Wayne Gretzky's all-time goal record of 894.
